Slay the Spire 2 Divine Right — Regent Starter Relic Guide

Divine Right in Slay the Spire 2: the Regent's starter relic granting 3 Stars every combat — how it works, the Divine Destiny upgrade and the Star economy.
Divine Right is the starter relic of the Regent — the reason his whole card pool hums. Every combat, it hands him free Stars, and Stars are the Regent's second energy. If you've searched "divine" in Slay the Spire 2, this is the object: here's how it works and how to upgrade it into Divine Destiny.

What Divine Right does
- Rarity: Starter relic (Regent only — he begins every run with it)
- Effect: At the start of each combat, gain 3 Stars
- Why it matters: Stars fuel the Regent's spenders — Radiate, summon orders and Star-cost powers. Three free Stars per combat is a head start no other class's starter relic matches for tempo
The upgrade: Divine Destiny
Divine Right can be upgraded to Divine Destiny by choosing Touch of Orobas when meeting Orobas, the Act 2 Ancient. Divine Destiny raises the opening grant from 3 to 7 Stars — more than double the opening economy, every single combat for the rest of the run.
That makes Touch of Orobas one of the highest-value Ancient relic picks for Regent players: it converts a good starter into a run-defining one.
How to spend the Stars it gives you
| Spender | What it does |
|---|---|
| Radiate (0) | 3 damage to ALL enemies per Star |
| Sword Sage line | Supercharges the Sovereign Blade summon |
| Seven Stars (2) | 7×7 AoE burst — pairs with a fat Star bank |
| Black Hole (1) | Pays out every time Stars move at all |
The rule of thumb from our Regent card guide: generate with Divine Right + cheap generators, spend the same turn. Stars left unspent are tempo lost.
Quick answers
- Is Divine Right only for the Regent? Yes — starter relics are character-locked; other classes never see it in pools.
- Does Divine Destiny stack with generators? Yes — Genesis, Glow and Solar Strike all add on top of the combat-opening grant.
- Co-op? Stars are per-player; your Divine Right only feeds your own pool.
