Slay the Spire 2 Poison Kill Build — Accelerant and Corrosive Wave Setups

Two ways to run Silent poison in Slay the Spire 2: draw-loop stacking with Corrosive Wave, or Accelerant burst that makes every poison tick hit multiple times. Card lists and timing inside.

Poison is the Silent's cleanest win condition: stacks tick at the start of the enemy's turn, strip away as they deal damage, and ignore Block entirely. Slay the Spire 2 gives you two ways to close with it — a draw-loop stacker built around Corrosive Wave, and a burst killer built around Accelerant. You want at least one of the two in any poison run.

The Silent fighting in Slay the Spire 2
Poison does not care how much Block the boss brought.

The two core cards

  • Corrosive Wave (Rare) — whenever you draw a card this turn, apply 2 (3) Poison to ALL enemies. A draw loop becomes a poison pump: every card you cycle stacks the whole board.
  • Accelerant — Poison on the target triggers 1 (2) additional times. Upgraded, every stack hits three times before stripping — a 40-stack boss becomes a 120-damage detonation.

Supporting the Corrosive Wave loop

  • Acrobatics (1) — draw 3 (4), discard 1. The loop's flywheel.
  • Backflip (1) — 5 (8) Block, draw 2. Defense plus velocity.
  • Prepared (0) — draw 1 (2), discard 1 (2). Free velocity that feeds discard synergies.
  • Calculated Gamble (Uncommon) — discard your hand, draw that many (with Retain upgrades). Converts a clunky hand into a fresh draw phase.
  • Noxious Fumes (Power) — apply 2 (3) Poison to ALL enemies at the start of your turn. Passive stack growth on every stall turn.

The loop is simple: draw, draw, draw — each drawn card pumps Poison across the board through Corrosive Wave, Noxious Fumes keeps it ticking between turns, and the fight ends on the enemy's upkeep before it ever swings twice.

Supporting the Accelerant burst

  • Bouncing Flask (Uncommon) — apply 3 Poison to a random enemy 3 (4) times. Big stack spikes on one unlucky target.
  • Outbreak (Uncommon) — apply 9 (12) Poison to ALL enemies, triggering immediately. Frontloads the bar Accelerant will multiply.
  • Poison timing: stack first, cast Accelerant, then stop — the enemy's next-turn upkeep resolves every stack multiple times. A boss at 30 stacks with upgraded Accelerant takes roughly triple that before moving.

Defense for a 70 HP class

Untouchable (Common) — gain 6 (9) Block with the Sly mechanic — plus Leg Sweep (Weak + 11 (14) Block) and Piercing Wail (ALL enemies lose 6 (8) Strength this turn) carry the walls while poison does the killing. Wraith Form (gain 2 (3) Intangible) is the luxury button for boss turns.

Choosing a lane

Found Corrosive Wave or Noxious Fumes early? Play the stacker — it scales through long hallway fights and multi-enemy rooms. Found Accelerant with bounce cards? Play the burst — it turns single elites and bosses into scheduled executions. Both lanes want the same things otherwise: draw, a few walls, and a lean deck. See the deck-thinning guide for why poison decks especially hate dead cards.
