Slay the Spire 2 Perfected Strike Stack — The Upgrade-Heavy Ironclad Deck

A Strike-count deck without the Hellraiser tax: Perfected Strike stacks, Armaments upgrades your whole hand, and every card you add raises the ceiling in Slay the Spire 2.

Most Ironclad builds hunt for a rare Power to switch the lights on. The Perfected Strike stack doesn't wait: it wins by inflating a common. Every card in your deck containing "Strike" raises Perfected Strike's damage — collect enough of them, upgrade them with Armaments, and a 2-cost common becomes the hardest single hit in the run.

The Ironclad mid-swing in Slay the Spire 2
Six damage, plus two per Strike, times fifteen Strikes. Math is a weapon.

The payoff card

Perfected Strike (2, Common) — deal 6 damage, plus 2 (3) for every card containing "Strike" in your deck, counting copies of itself and every basic Strike you never removed. This is the rare deck that wants its starting Strikes: each one is +2 damage on every copy, forever.

The stacking rules of thumb:

  • Five-plus copies of Perfected Strike are realistic by Act 2 — card rewards and events offer it often because it is a common.
  • Upgraded copies add +3 per Strike instead of +2, so campfire upgrades compound quadratically with deck density.
  • Ten Strikes in the pile turns an upgraded Perfected Strike into 36 damage — before Strength, before Vulnerable, every single copy.

The support line

  • Armaments (1) — gain 5 Block, upgrade a card in your hand (all cards when upgraded). In-place upgrades without campfires; upgraded Strikes also hit harder through their own base damage.
  • Pommel Strike (1) — 9 (10) damage, draw 1 (2). A Strike that filters toward your other Perfected Strikes.
  • Twin Strike (1) — 5 (7) twice. Density plus chip damage.
  • Anger (0) — 6 (8) damage, adds a copy into your discard pile. A Strike that grows its own count.
  • Headbutt (1) — 9 (12) damage, stacks your discard on top of the draw pile. Digs a Perfected Strike back out.
  • Bloodletting (0) — lose 3 HP, gain 2 (3) energy. Perfected Strike costs 2; this is how you cast two in a turn.

What this deck refuses

  • Exhaust effects on Strikes — the pile is the stat line; permanently deleting Strikes is self-sabotage.
  • Non-Strike attacks, mostly — a rare Whirlwind for AoE weeks is fine, but every non-Strike slot is a missed +2.
  • Big deck bloat without Strikes — draw 5 and you want at least two Strikes per draw; that means the pile stays Strikes-plus-draw, 20 cards max.

Piloting

Turn one is setup: Bloodletting, Armaments if the hand has targets, chip damage. The payoff turn is any hand with two Perfected Strikes — 12 base, +2 per Strike each, upgraded math on top; with Strength from a Inflame-style card and a Vulnerable opener like Bash, single hits cross 60 against bosses. It is the least flashy of the Ironclad's engines and one of the most reliable, because it never needs a rare to come online.
