Slay the Spire 2 Doom Burst Build — Necrobinder Execution Deck

Published 2026-03-09Updated 2026-09-196 min read

Doom is stored damage in Slay the Spire 2: stack it past an enemy's HP with No Escape, Deathbringer and End of Days, block with Shroud and Death's Door, and execute through everything.

Doom is the Necrobinder's most sinister mechanic — a stored kill counter. Every stack sits on the enemy, and the game checks it at the end of their turn: if an enemy's Doom is equal to or higher than its remaining HP, it dies. Block, armor, shields — irrelevant. This build stacks Doom by the hundreds and files the paperwork later.

Doom is not damage. It is an appointment.

The stacking core

  • No Escape (Uncommon, 1) — apply 10 (15) Doom, plus 5 more for every 10 Doom already on the target. The snowball: deep stacks accelerate themselves.
  • Negative Pulse (Common, 1) — gain 5 (6) Block, apply 7 (11) Doom to ALL enemies. Defense and board-wide stacking in one line; take two.
  • Deathbringer (Uncommon, 2) — 21 (26) Doom plus 1 Weak to ALL enemies. The board-clearer among stackers.
  • End of Days (Rare, 3) — apply 29 (37) Doom to ALL enemies and kill anything whose Doom meets its HP immediately. The mass-execution button.

The executor

  • Time's Up (Rare, 2) — deal damage equal to the enemy's Doom, with a Retain upgrade. The finisher that converts 200 stored stacks into 200 damage right now, instead of waiting for the enemy's upkeep. Bosses die to this card on schedule.

The defense package

Stacking turns are also walls in this deck:

  • Shroud (Power, 1) — whenever you apply Doom, gain 3 (4) Block. Every stacker is now a fortifier.
  • Death's Door (Uncommon, 1) — gain 6 (7) Block, two extra times if you applied Doom this turn — which is every turn. Forty-plus Block from one energy.
  • Bone Flute (relic-grade support) — Osty's attacks grant 2 Block each; the summon stays useful while you count down.

Turn template

  1. Wall and spread: Negative Pulse — Block plus Doom across the pack.
  2. Focus: No Escape on the priority target; the per-10 bonus punishes every earlier stack.
  3. Execute: End of Days clears everything the room's Doom already covers; Time's Up deletes the boss the moment stacks pass its health line.

Deck discipline

Aim for 20–25 cards with the four stackers, Time's Up, Shroud, and two Death's Doors as the spine. What you decline matters: non-Doom damage decks dilute the kill check, and healing-free aggression is wasted when the execution does not care how much HP the enemy has left. See deck thinning — this deck wants its stackers, its walls, and nothing else.
