Slay the Spire 2 Tea of Discourtesy — Event Relic Effect Explained

Tea of Discourtesy in Slay the Spire 2: taking the tea from the Round Tea Party event shuffles 2 Dazed curses into your draw pile at the start of the next combat — one fight only.

Tea of Discourtesy is the souvenir you get for being polite at the wrong party: "At the start of the next combat, shuffle 2 Dazed into your Draw Pile." One fight of cluttered draws, then the cup is empty and gone.

Free tea. The aftertaste lasts exactly one combat.

The facts

  • Type: general relic — any character
  • Rarity: Event
  • Source: the Round Tea Party question-mark event — the "drink the tea" choice
  • Effect: at the start of the next combat only, shuffle 2 Dazed curses into your draw pile

How Dazed hurts

Dazed is an unplayable, ethereal-style curse: it does nothing in your hand and cannot be played normally — it exists to eat draw and hand space for a turn. Two of them in your opening draw means your first turn of the next fight runs two cards short, which against an elite is a real cost and against a hallway fight is a shrug.

Is drinking worth it?

The tea choice trades a full heal (the event's other perk) plus this relic against keeping your next combat clean. The honest math:

  • Drink when your health is the limiting resource — a full heal that buys two more fights is worth one awkward opening hand.
  • Skip when a boss or elite is the very next node — two dead draws into that fight is the worst possible timing.
  • Either way, no lingering downside: after the next combat resolves, the relic and its curses are done. No permanent deck damage, no future fights affected.

It is one of the fairest gambles in the event pool: a clean, bounded, one-fight tax in exchange for a full recovery.
