Slay the Spire 2 Potion Relics Guide — Every Potion-Slot and Potion-Payoff Relic

Every potion-related relic in Slay the Spire 2: Potion Belt and Alchemical Coffer for slots, White Beast Statue and The Cauldron for supply, Reptile Trinket for payoff, and the no-potion trade-offs.
Potions are free wins stored in glass — and a whole relic economy exists to give you more glass. This guide covers every potion-related relic worth knowing in Slay the Spire 2, sorted by what they actually do: capacity, supply, payoff, and the two relics that pay you to quit potions entirely.

Capacity: more slots, more options
- Potion Belt (Common) — upon pickup, gain 2 potion slots. The baseline expansion; the first pick of any potion-oriented run.
- Alchemical Coffer (Ancient, Orobas pool) — gain 4 slots filled with random potions. Capacity plus instant inventory; the strongest single potion relic in the game.
Supply: keep the bottles coming
- White Beast Statue (Rare) — potions always appear in combat rewards. Converts every normal fight into a chance at gas, and elites into potion fountains.
- The Cauldron (Shop) — upon pickup, brews 5 random potions. A one-time stockpile; best bought right before a hard act.
- Mailbox-style relics — rest-site potion drops reward routes that path through campfires; pair with a slot relic so the drops have somewhere to go.
Payoff: potions that hit back
- Reptile Trinket (Uncommon) — whenever you use a potion, gain 3 Strength this turn. The best payoff relic for any deck with attack turns: a healing potion becomes a damage card.
- Petrified Toad (Uncommon) — at the start of each combat, procure a Potion-Shaped Rock — a throwable that deals chunk damage to open the fight. Free board-clear tempo, every combat.
The two heresies: anti-potion relics
- Buckle-style relics — while you have no potions, gain Dexterity. A defensive build that never buys potions converts abstinence into block.
- Energy-for-abstinence relics — trade the entire potion system for +1 energy per turn. High-cost curve decks that never touched potions anyway lose nothing and gain an energy relic's worth of tempo.
Both are only correct if your deck genuinely ignores potions — taking them "for the stats" into a potion-relic run is burning slots.
Priority order
- Capacity first: Potion Belt, then Alchemical Coffer. Empty slots are potential; filled slots are wins.
- Supply second: White Beast Statue on combat-heavy routes; The Cauldron as a pre-boss purchase.
- Payoff third: Reptile Trinket on any deck that ends fights with attack damage.
- The heresies last, and only for decks that truly never drink.
