The 0.105 beta patch for Slay the Spire 2: bi-weekly updates, the Bestiary, Doormaker replaced by Aeonglass, Blade of Ink nerfed, Tesla Coil+ reworked, Pumpkin Candle reworked and new Neow relics.
The 0.105 beta patch is a structural one: Mega Crit shifts to bi-weekly updates, ships the game's first Bestiary, replaces an Act 3 boss entirely, and rebalances cards across every class. Here is everything that matters, verified against the official patch notes.

The cadence change
Updates move from weekly to every two weeks. The official reasoning: weekly patches were too much work, and the slower rhythm buys time for bigger changes and for beta players to actually absorb each patch.
The Bestiary arrives
The Compendium now includes the Bestiary — an outline of the game's monsters with their art and animation entries (full data still coming). And it ships with a secret, straight from the patch notes: press the 1–8 keys while viewing a monster.
Doormaker out, Aeonglass in
Act 3's Doormaker has been replaced by a brand-new boss, Aeonglass. The official line: Doormaker's fight was over the complexity threshold and carried lingering issues, so the team rebuilt the slot from scratch. Our Aeonglass boss guide covers the new fight.
Class balance highlights
Silent — Blade of Ink nerfed: the Inky enchantment's damage bonus drops from +2 to +1.
Regent — Sword Sage reworked: no longer makes the Sovereign Blade hit an extra time; now the Sovereign Blade gains Replay 1 — which newly synergizes with Parry. Bulwark's Block drops to 12 (15); Crescent Spear buffed from 6 to 8 base damage; Patter's Block gain trimmed to 8 (10); Royalties gold raised to 30 (40).
Defect — Infused Core relic now also makes Lightning orbs deal 1 additional damage; Hyperbeam up to 28 (36); Shatter now Evokes all of your orbs twice; Tesla Coil+ reshaped — damage down from 6 to 4, but Lightning triggers doubled from once to twice; Uproar up to 6 (8).
Colorless — Gold Axe in multiplayer now counts cards played by ALL players, not just its owner.
Enemy changes
- Fossil Stalker: gains a set amount of Strength when hitting any player, instead of per-player stacking.
- Haunted Ship: applies 3 Weak on turn 1, instead of on attack.
- Soul Fysh: Scream damage raised from 11 (12) to 13 (15).
Ancients relics
- Tezcatara's Pumpkin Candle reworked: 1 energy per turn, now extinguishes after 5 combats (not at Act 3), and can be re-Kindled at rest sites.
- Three new Neow relics: Kaleidoscope (temp name; gain two card rewards from other characters), Fishing Rod (every 3 normal combats, upgrade a random card), Silken Tress (enchant the first card reward with Glam).
- Tezcatara's Seal of Gold moves to reward option 3, sharing Pumpkin Candle's pool.
The stealth star: Lantern Keys
One line in the events section: "Something special now happens if you have multiple Lantern Key cards" — single-player only. Our multi-Lantern Key guide explains the payoff.
