Slay the Spire 2 Cultist Headpiece — Is It in StS2?

The Cultist Headpiece is the most famous joke relic in the Slay the Spire series — the bird mask that makes your character scream "CAW! CAAW!" at the start of every combat. It comes from the original Slay the Spire, and players searching for it in the sequel keep finding the same answer, which we'll give you straight: it's not in Slay the Spire 2 (yet). Here's the full story of the relic and where StS2's spiritual successors live.

What the Cultist Headpiece does (Slay the Spire 1)

• Rarity: Event relic — no mechanical effect at all
• Source: the Face Trader event — trade your face, and you might randomly receive the headpiece
• The effect: your character yells CAW! CAAW at the start of each combat. That's it. That's the whole relic
• Flavor text: "Part of the Flock!" — internally the item is called CultistMask, the face of a Cultist taken by the Face Trader

Why players love (and trade) it

1. It's free damage to your dignity, zero cost to your deck — a relic slot that does nothing still counts as a relic for relic-based triggers.
2. The N'loth trick: if the N'loth event offers to trade a relic for a gift, the Headpiece is the safest thing to hand over — you lose nothing mechanical and gain N'loth's Gift.
3. Momentum: the CAW is, spiritually, the strongest sound in the Spire.

Is the Cultist Headpiece in Slay the Spire 2?

No — as of the current Early Access patch, the Cultist Headpiece and the Face Trader event are not in Slay the Spire 2, and the game's relic pool (300 relics, tracked in our all relics list) has no equivalent bird-mask entry. Early Access content updates every two weeks, so a cameo is possible — but nothing has been announced.
