The Silent in Slay the Spire 2: 70 Max HP, Ring of the Snake card draw, and a kit of poison, daggers and discard synergy. Unlock requirements and playstyle explained.
The Silent is a huntress from outside the Spire, ready to stab and poison anything in her way. She is the first unlock in Slay the Spire 2 — you get her by clearing a run with the Ironclad — and she immediately changes the texture of the game: where the Ironclad trades blows, the Silent wins by never letting the fight get that far.

Silent stats and starter relic
- Max HP: 70 — tied for the lowest effective health among the starting roster
- Starting gold: 99
- Starter relic: Ring of the Snake — at the start of each combat, draw 2 additional cards
- How to unlock: complete a run with the Ironclad
Ring of the Snake shapes her whole tempo: an opening hand two cards deeper means her best opening turns come online a full cycle earlier than other classes, and opening turns are where the Silent wins fights.
How the Silent plays
Her kit runs on three interlocking engines:
- Poison. Stacks that tick damage at the start of the enemy's turn and strip away as they deal it. Poison turns enormous elite health bars into countdown timers and trivializes fights the Ironclad has to brawl through.
- Dagger swarm. A family of cheap, fast attacks that gain from being played many times per turn. Individually small, they become lethal when draw and energy discounts line up.
- Discard and draw synergy. Cards that want to be discarded, cards that reward discarding, and enough draw to keep the hand churning — this is the control deck of the five.
What a good Silent run looks like
Pick a poison of an answer early: a poison package for chunky enemies, or a dagger package for speed. Then trim ruthlessly. Her low HP pool punishes half-built decks more than any other class — the difference between a 70 HP Silent who blocks and one who doesn't is usually the whole run.
See our build guides for two proven routes: the blade-and-poison hybrid and the infinite poison engine.
Ascension notes
Clearing an Act 3 boss as the Silent unlocks her Ascension ladder. Her shallow health pool means scaling difficulty bites her first — Ascension runs demand earlier blocking, tighter deck thinning, and fewer greedy fights.
