Starfall Build — Slay the Spire 2 Build Guide

Starfall — the Star Nuke build for the Regent in Slay the Spire 2: core cards, relics and step-by-step strategy.

Stockpile Stars and unload them in one turn — the Starfall nuke is the Regent's signature blowout.

Starfall — the Star Nuke

Play pattern: stockpile Stars and Vigor across a turn or two, then cash everything in at once — most reliably through Radiate, which deals damage to every enemy for each Star you gained this turn (3 damage per Star by default). With enough setup the video shows Radiate going from 3 to 52 damage in a single turn after banking 25 Stars. If you've played Magic: The Gathering, it plays like a storm deck: build up, then kill everything in one go. Starfall is the most reliable archetype community play has found — the backup payoff is Stardust, a spend-X damage card (cited at 5 damage per hit), weaker in multi-enemy fights.

Core cards:

Card Cost Effect Why it earns a slot
Radiate Damage to all enemies for every Star gained this turn (base 3 per Star) The best Starfall payoff — an AoE nuke that scales without limit
Royal Gamble 5 Gains 9 Stars Almost mandatory: 9 Stars makes Radiate a 27-damage AoE; take it even as a dead draw
Hidden Cache The highest base Star generation in the kit A setup turn of +3 Stars before the Radiate turn; also pairs with the 5–6 cost Star cards
Genesis Sustained Star engine; the upgrade gives 3 Stars per turn Passive Star every turn means passive Radiate damage every turn
Knockout Blow 3 30 damage; gain 5 Stars if you kill something Feeds Radiate (5 Stars = 15 AoE damage); off your starting 3 Stars it opens fights at 9 AoE damage
Vigor Gain 6 Vigor (8 upgraded); Vigor adds that much to your next attack, per hit Pushes Radiate from 3 to 11 damage per Star — 9 Stars becomes 99 damage
Terraforming Another Vigor source for stacking Vigor persists across turns as long as you don't attack, so you can bank it

Relics: the material's relic advice for the Regent is thin — cards simply matter more. Crown of Stars (3 Stars at combat start, 6 upgraded) is the engine every Starfall plan uses, and the explicit advice is to push card rewards and shops first, relic slots second.

How to pilot it: the dream line is Decisions, Decisions into Royal Gamble — roughly 27 Stars in one turn, which kills almost anything with a small damage boost. Stack Vigor patiently (Patter, Terraforming), don't attack while banking it, and block until the big turn. If Radiate never shows up, Lunar Blast is a worse version that only makes sense with Decisions, Decisions (doubled into itself, replaying Monologue/Terraforming for Strength — the video's best case reached ~600 damage) or as an infinite-deck payoff.

Strengths and weaknesses: scales to absurd numbers and crushes bosses; but it leans on specific payoffs, and without Radiate/Royal Gamble you need a lot of sustained generation to get there.
